Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Overview
Academoo provides educational games, teacher tools, assignments, worksheets, and classroom progress features. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how teachers, parents, guardians, and schools can contact us about privacy requests.
For a shorter school-focused summary, see our Student Privacy page.
Information Teachers Provide
- Account information: email address, display name, avatar choice, login details, and account preferences.
- Authentication information: if you use Google Sign-In, we receive basic profile information such as your name and email address from Google.
- Teacher-created content: question sets, prompts, accepted answers, word lists, images, audio, saved games, assignments, worksheet activity, and classroom tool settings.
- Billing information: purchase status, product pass, transaction identifiers, refund status, and related billing metadata. Full payment card details are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record.
- Support and feedback: messages you send us, optional contact email, page URL, browser/device details, and related troubleshooting metadata.
Student And Classroom Information
Students normally do not need their own Academoo account or email address to use a teacher assignment link. Teachers may create classroom records so assignments and progress reports work.
- Student profiles: names or nicknames, optional surname, avatar, group membership, PIN-related settings, and classroom labels chosen by the teacher.
- Assignment activity: assignment links, selected games, completion status, game progress, scores, answers, correctness, timestamps, and reports shown to the teacher.
- Parent report links: if a teacher creates a parent report link, we store the information needed to show that report until the link is revoked or the underlying records are deleted.
Teachers should avoid adding sensitive student information that is not needed for classroom practice. Initials, first names, or nicknames can be used where appropriate.
Information Collected Automatically
- IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, approximate location, and timestamps.
- Performance, error, and usage information that helps us keep Academoo reliable and improve the product.
- Cookies and similar technologies used for login sessions, security, analytics, preferences, and product measurement.
Analytics And Product Improvement
We use analytics and performance tools to understand how Academoo is used, diagnose bugs, improve classroom workflows, and measure website performance. These tools may collect usage events, page views, device/browser information, and session-related identifiers. Some analytics tools include session replay or recording features used for product debugging and improvement.
We do not sell student data, show ads to students, or use student answers for advertising. Where supported, we configure analytics tools to mask inputs and reduce unnecessary capture.

Teachers can delete some classroom content directly in the product. You can also ask us to access, correct, export, or delete account or classroom information by contacting us. We may need to keep limited records where required for billing, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or abuse prevention.
Public And Shared Content
Some teacher-created question sets or resources may be shared publicly if a teacher chooses to publish or share them. Do not include private student information in public question sets, public prompts, images, word lists, or shared resources.

We use technical and organizational safeguards to protect information, including access controls, row-level database permissions, encrypted connections, and service monitoring. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to protect Academoo and respond to issues responsibly.
Children's Privacy
Academoo is built for educational use by teachers, schools, parents, and guardians. Students do not need to create their own Academoo accounts for teacher assignment links. Teachers, schools, parents, and guardians are responsible for using Academoo in a way that fits their classroom, school, and legal requirements.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to Academoo without appropriate permission, contact us and we will review the request.
